Measuring Low Flow Rates AccuratelyOne challenge in controlling small flow rates is being able to accurately measure the flow. If accurate flow measurement is not achieved then accurate control will not be possible. Instrowest recommends that clients check that their flow transmitters are correctly sized to enable accurate measurement. One common problem that Instrowest has encountered is flow tubes fitted to suit the pipe size rather than the desired flow rate. An oversized flow tube can develop a coating of scale, leading to poor flow measurement and overdosing. Instrowest recommends Yokogawa AXF flow transmitters for use with reagent dosing. These transmitters are robust in their design and come with a large selection of wetted materials to suit the reagent being used. Advantages of the Yokogawa AXF flow transmitter are their range of small sizes, including 2.5mm and 5mm flow tubes, their ability to detect electrode adhesion levels, plus other features. Instrowest can supply install and commission a Yokogawa flow tube to suit your application. Give us a call today. |

MPA Actuators
Since the initial trial installation, Instrowest has
installed another two dosing points and there
has been no failure of the actuators to date. As
a result of this project’s success, Cosmos now
has greater control over the cyanide dosing
system, leading to better arsenic rejection and
efficiency in their cyanide usage.
